Hardly usable on a phone
Tiny text, a phone number you can't tap, opening hours as an image. Anyone looking for a workshop on the go leaves within seconds.
Industry example · Car and bicycle workshops
People looking for a workshop search on their phone: nearby, open today, do they do e-bikes or air-con service too? I build websites that answer these questions in seconds – and turn visitors into appointment requests.
An example of my service websites and landing pages – what's included, what isn't and how it works is described there.
The situation
The work in the workshop is good – the website often says too little about it. These four points cost the most enquiries.
Tiny text, a phone number you can't tap, opening hours as an image. Anyone looking for a workshop on the go leaves within seconds.
Without clear service pages and clean details on location and opening hours, the workshop hardly shows up in local searches.
Inspection, tyre change, air-con service, e-bike repair: what you offer isn't written anywhere – so the customer calls or goes elsewhere.
Anyone looking for an appointment in the evening can't reach anyone. A simple appointment request accepts enquiries after closing time too.
What I build
Not an off-the-shelf website builder, but a website that suits your workshop. These are the building blocks we choose from together.
Inspection, tyres, brakes, air-con – or bicycle and e-bike service. Every important service gets a clear page that customers and Google understand.
Request, vehicle or bike and preferred date in one short form. The request comes straight to you.
Opening hours as text instead of an image, directions with one tap, a phone number to tap. Seasonal notes such as tyre changes at the top.
Structured data for the workshop, address and opening hours, suitable page titles, fast loading – plus tips for your Google Business Profile.
No trackers that would require a banner, no monthly website-builder fee. The website and content belong to you after payment.
E-bike service, spring check-ups, leased bikes: especially in the bicycle trade it matters that customers know in advance what you do.
Goes well with it
The website brings the customer into the workshop. These building blocks help after that.
Process
On site at your place in NRW or by video: which services bring in revenue, which questions do you hear on the phone again and again?
Number of pages and features in writing – with a fixed price and what isn't included.
You see a clickable draft early on. The copy is written together with you; photos from your workshop work better than catalogue images.
I set up the domain, hosting and the basics for Google. If you like, I'll also update opening hours or notices for you afterwards.
First, what customers search for on the go: services, opening hours, address with directions and a phone number to tap. Then a page for each service that brings in revenue, a way to request an appointment and the legal notice. At the start, that's often all it takes.
Yes. The simplest way is a form with the request, vehicle or bike and preferred date that comes straight to you. If appointments should be booked right away, the website can link to an online booking system – Taskly, for example, has one built in.
A fast, clearly structured website with clean details is the foundation for it. Nobody can promise a position on Google. But together with a well-maintained Google Business Profile and genuine reviews, you'll be in a good position for local searches.
For websites without tracking, without advertising cookies and without embedded third-party content, usually not – and that is how I build by default. If you want to measure advertising later, we discuss it beforehand. The legal review is done by an authorised professional.
Yes. Bicycle and e-bike workshops have similar questions to car workshops, just with different peak times: in spring everyone wants their check-up at once. A clear overview of services and an appointment request then take the pressure off the phone.
